$LUNA seems bullish, not less than an hour ago, the Terra team has shared a post on Twitter stating that it is expecting new programs on its network.
The programs include:
Analytic dashboards
Curated data
Token bounty programs, and
Educational content
One of the projects is Metrics DAO, which is partnering with $LUNA for educational content.
To fund the above efforts, Prop 902 is set to provide Metrics Dao with a $LUNA token grant from the community pool. Here is the live voting link: https://station.terra.money/proposal/902
What is Metrics DAO?
Metrics DAO is an on demand data analytics for projects. The Blockchain unites analytical minds to solve the greatest challenges facing blockchain ecosystems. It believes in:
Equal access to on-chain data
Empowering Analysts
New Operating System Connecting DAOs with Analysts
Yesterday, 1 August 2022, Metrics DAO launched its first Blockchain course. The course is a Data Analyst course: Blockchain 101.
What does Metrics DAO plan to bring on Luna? The Grant Proposal
Metrics DAO March 22 Whitepaper covers the metrics and information on its partnership with LUNA. Here is a direct quote of the grant proposal from Terra’s research forum.
We are asking $250,000 worth of LUNA, benchmarked at 12:00 UTC time on Monday, July 25, to fund data ingestion and analytical bounties for the reborn Terra.
Benchmarking the LUNA amount to a fixed dollar value is intended to protect both parties from price volatility.
Should the governance proposal pass, we will provide a Terra address to the community multi-signers for distribution within 7 days of the vote’s end.
EDIT: Adding more details to this paragraph on data warehousing costs in response to feedback.
Most of this grant ($230,000) will go toward data curation. This includes payment to data curation contributors, as well as data warehousing costs.
Data warehousing costs include ~$10,000 monthly payments to the following providers: AWS and Streamline (data storage) and Snowflake (data access and query compute).
These costs are all based on predicted usage and will vary depending on actual usage.
The remainder of the grant ($20,000) will go to a pilot of the 3-Step Analytics Program.
The goal of the pilot program is to jumpstart the analytics bounty and user acquisition process for Terra 2.0, the future of which can be evaluated in a distinct proposal."
Closing Thoughts
The season seems bullish for $LUNA. Metrics DAO will gather feedback from the community on this proposal using the link above. Any requisite feedback will be integrated into the proposal as needed.
Should there be strong, positive sentiment from the community, we will move the proposal to an official vote. I suppose its time to buy $LUNA and HODL!
