MetaMask Has Finally Launched Its Dark Mode Feature; Four Hours Ago

Four hours ago, MetaMask tweeted that its "browser extension" dark mode feature is finally active. It is fascinating because regular users like me and you would think that the browser already had a dark mode feature activated. I suppose good things take time.

Developed by Consensys, the application's official web pages, both on mobile and web, have only been using a white-themed colour until April 2022. Many applications are resolving to a dark mode feature for eye protection. Developers and traders spend most of their time online. Therefore, the dark mode feature helps to protect against screen glare. The 2022 launch only covered mobile versions 4.3.1 and the website. However, on Thursday, MetaMask launched the browser extension feature today, 17 June 2022.

How to Enable MetaMask’s Dark Mode Feature

The following are steps to enable MetaMask dark mode feature in several platforms

1. Open your Browser

2. Open Google or Duckduckgo

3. Type on Metamask.io and click Search

4. Click the Flashlight-like Icon to the Right of the Download Icon

5. The Icon is Dark in White Mode and Orange in Dark Mode

6. There you have it. Enjoy your Dark Mode Feature

Mobile App

Note: Enabling dark mode in your phone settings is how you enable dark mode in your mobile MetaMask app. Therefore, the settings will differ depending on different operating systems; Android, MacOS, Windows and Linux phones. Yes, Linux because some individuals use Kali NetHunter on their mobile devices. However, I have doubt whether MetaMask can run on Kali NetHunter yet.

1. Unlock your phone or mobile device

2. Go to Settings

3. Click on Enable Dark Mode or Click the Dark Mode icon on your phone menu

4. Open MetaMask

5. Congratulations, you are now in dark mode

Browser Extension

MetaMask has several browser extensions, including Chrome and Firefox. Congratulations to the developer and design team for this milestone. Extension users can now say goodbye to eye sores.

1. Unlock your Pc or Desktop

2. Open the Browser with the MetaMask Extension

3. Key in your extension Password.

4. Search for Experimental

5. Under Theme, Click the Dropdown Arrow

6. Select Dark

7. Yay! You made it

Note: Remember to check the vulnerability issue MetaMask discovered and fix it. It is important to note that your 12 key phrase is your pin. Please do not share it with anyone, even the Telegram popups that appear as admins.

Is there any new Feature?
