The Metaverse and Faith: Christians Were Already There - I.

"1 Corinthians 2:9
9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—"

The Beginning

Well. This story takes us far back. Do you know the Famous Mr. Bean Show? At the start of the show, he drops out of nowhere and don't forget the random Light from above that shines on him and the melodious harmonic voices that follow.

Well, this is the story of how all this Began. I realized there are two sides to it. "Time, Space, Portals, and Secrets." All exist. The Spirit Realm is Real. The physical opens portals to it. The physical is evidence of the spiritual. Again, there are two sides to it. You can open a doorway correctly or wrongly. That's it.

So the human soul is simply like Mr. Bean, with the seen lying down, the Light, we don't know where it comes from, and the unknown voices that create perfect melodies. It is our duty to find the Light using the Voices and make people smile.

What is the Metaverse?

The Metaverse is a virtual space pioneered by the social media space. (Okay. Social Media is not quite the pioneer, but we'll leave it at that for now). A virtual space is an area ... okay, let us use this analogy first.

Sound

You want to call your friend across the road. So you shout, 'Friend!'. They hear you. They shout back, "Yesss!". But if it's conveying information within the same distance, you will ask, "Friend, Where are you going? " They will hear and reply, "I am going to to the market."

What about a few miles away? They probably will hear but get the wrong information. They might hear, "Why you are you grumpy?". And when they reply, you might hear something totally different.

When you connect two tin cans and a string, sound travels through the string. You can hear the sound correctly. Therefore, the two friends miles far apart can communicate effectively using two tin cans and a string.

Wallah! Yes. That's how we have Telephone Lines. So imagine you are more than two friends? To communicate, you need a central location, where friend one communicates and friend two listens. Friend two communicates, and friend three listens. And each replies while each listens. That's how telephone boosters were invented. I have trailed off a little with the telephone boosters; now, where were we? The Metaverse and Virtual Space.

The Virtual Space

So the virtual space is simply a world we create in our imagination following communication. Not seeing the other person but hearing them speak makes us create images in our mind. The images form a virtual space.

Therefore, it is safe to say that the string or telephone lines are the virtual space. Are they really? No. it all narrows down to imagination. Imagination results when two souls bond, which creates a virtual space. The virtual space is where two souls interact.

This need to make long-distance communication seem more real led to the creation of smartphones and social media. Social media now acts as the string between the two tin cans. So the key ingredient here is not the means but imagination.

Therefore, virtual world is a world that is real. We create it with our imagination. It results from the bonding of two souls, which can happen either in a healthy or unhealthy manner. There are several types of virtual worlds:

1. Imagination, which intertwines with storytelling.

2. Animations.

3. Movies.

4. Social Media-Texts, Images, Emojis.

5. The Metaverse.

All narrow down to Imagination.

Genesis 11:
4.“Come,” they said, “let us build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.” 5.Then the LORD came down to seethe city and the tower that the sons of men were building. 6. And the LORD said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond them.

Therefore, how does it all link to Christianity? Stay tuned.
